# Introduction

Cinematic character select, create and spawn for QBCore, Qbox and ESX.

**Striga Multicharacter** replaces the character menu of your framework with a cinematic one: pick a character with a live preview ped, make a new one, then choose where to spawn with a camera fly-over.

Every player can also set up the menu the way they like: their own music (or a YouTube link), background scene, ped animation, weather, visual filter and color.

Version: **1.0.0**

## Features

| Feature                    | What it means                                                                                 |
| -------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Live preview** | The selected character stands in the scene, in their own clothes |
| **Character creation** | Name, birth date, nationality and gender, checked on the server |
| **Spawn picker** | Last location, owned houses and apartments, and your own spawn points, with a camera fly-over |
| **Background scenes** | Penthouse and Maze Bank rooftop built in, add your own with `/mcscene` |
| **Music** | Your own music files, or a YouTube link (server default or per player) |
| **Player settings** | Volume, mute, scene, animation, weather, filter and color, saved per player |
| **Follows your HUD color** | With Striga Tokyo HUD, the menu uses the HUD theme color unless the player picks one |
| **Character slots** | Default count, per license or per ACE group. Locked slots never show |
| **Skin backup** | Keeps a copy of each character's last good skin and restores it if it goes missing |
| **11 languages**           | `en`, `tr`, `de`, `fr`, `es`, `it`, `pt`, `nl`, `pl`, `ru`, `ar`                              |

## Supported frameworks

| Framework | Default menu to turn off |
| ---------- | --------------------------------------------- |
| QBCore     | `qb-multicharacter`                           |
| Qbox       | Built-in (set `useExternalCharacters = true`) |
| ESX legacy | `esx_multicharacter`                          |

Clothing: **illenium-appearance**, **fivem-appearance**, **qb-clothing** or **skinchanger + esx\_skin**. striga-core finds it for you.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Qbox and ESX support is written against their current source code but has not been run on a live server yet. If something is off, tell us.
{% endhint %}

## Requirements

* **striga-core** 0.1.0 or newer (installed and started before Striga Multicharacter)
* **oxmysql** and **ox\_lib**
* One of: QBCore, Qbox, ESX legacy
* A clothing resource from the list above

{% hint style="info" %}
**Striga Tokyo HUD is optional.** With it, the menu color follows the HUD theme and the `/hud` menu gets a section with the same settings. See [Settings & Scenes](/docs/striga-multicharacter/settings-and-scenes.md).
{% endhint %}

## Commands

| Command                   | Who   | What it does                                                       |
| ------------------------- | ----- | ------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| `/logout` | Admin | Back to character select (Qbox keeps its own `/logout`) |
| `/deletechar <citizenid>` | Admin | Deletes a character, then confirm with `confirm` within 30 seconds |
| `/mcscene`                | Admin | Prints a ready scene line in the F8 console                        |

Players can not delete their own characters.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://striga.gitbook.io/docs/striga-multicharacter/introduction.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
